74-year-old jaded lizard Leo and his terrarium-mate turtle have spent decades locked in the same Florida classroom. Knowing that he only has a year left to live, he makes plans to leave and see the outside world, but instead he becomes entangled in the issues of his fearful kids, including an unbelievably cruel substitute teacher.
