During the Lebanese civil war in Beirut in 1986, a Korean diplomat goes missing after being kidnapped. After two years have passed and the incident is long forgotten, a young diplomat named Min-jun finds out via phone that the hostage is still alive. Min-jun is given the task of traveling to Beirut with a bag of ransom money in order to free the hostage.
